That's a pretty guitar, Juggy. But your pics suck, lol.

I love the gold top Les Paul.

pics are from my phone, my sisters camera wasn't charged and i'll be damned if i'm going to buy my own digital camera just to brag to a bunch of interweb dorks.

anywho, this guitar makes my schecter gryphon, which used to be my #1, feel like a dirty $200 plank of wood. it's not terribly heavy for a les paul, and i also love gold tops. the guy had the plus top slash also but i passed because it looks too unsuspecting. far as i can tell it's a 3 piece body (bootyful mahogany on the back) but it sustains like nothing i've ever played before and i had no idea how versatile les pauls really are. this thing is so bright that i find myself using the tone knobs just to make it sound like it has humbuckers. the guitar is quite unforgiving...if you suck, it will show. i thought telecasters were the best guitar ever until i got this thing, boy was i wrong. with the tone knobs on 10, it sounds like a single coil. who needs fenders with versatility like this?

That's the thing I love about my Les Paul and Explorer. I will admit that you can't quite get that tingy clean sound like a strats single coil. But fuck it, I run through POD XT Live floor system and it has a strat simulator that sounds better than a strat, lol.

Not sure what you run through, but you should try out a LineX POD some time, it'll blow your mind at how complete it is. On the fly tuner, volume peddle/wah, Tons of FX and cab simulators, custom FX storage, headphone jack as well as USB in/out, mini out and 1/4" mono/stereo out. The BEST music gear investment I've EVER made. I see my unit as cheap as $300 bux on the netz. I paid around $600 new with gig case.

i've got a fender cyber twin with a behringer foot board that i can't figure out how to program for parameters, but it does let me access all my presets pretty easily. if i could figure out how to program my pedals for wah and stuff, i would have no need for a pod cause my amp has most of that shit built in but the fender pedal costs an arm and a leg. if i want something real stratty i can just use vibratone or tremolo to get it close enough. i have a strat but i never string it cause i hate vintage frets and only having 21 of them. can't think of any song other than sultans of swing that really really requires a strat and that sounds good on the LP.

after staying up til 4:30 or so last night, i figured out how to make my expression pedals work. midi is a bitch, i had to set my board and amp to the same midi channel, put in the right parameter (0-127, there are a lot) on my pedal to adjust FX output, but after that it's cake. now if i could just figure out how to use wah properly i would be in business.

With mine, I have to be in a wah FX, or the pedal is just a volume pedal. But once I'm in the wah FX, I can chain whatever FX I want to it. Like a rotating speaker and a little distortion, etc.

If you notice on my POD in the pic, it has a light next to the pedal that lights up either wah or volume. Does yours have that so you know when you are on a wah preset?

But I keep a wah preset at all times, so I can be playing a rhythm, then break into a lead solo with wah with one quick foot movement.

i have 10 banks of 10 presets with 2 expression pedals. pedal b defaults to master volume control but can be changed to whatever (i'm thinking about doing channel volume to get a more usable pedal range) and pedal a does nothing until you set it for the right parameter. my amp you can pick the tone stack (which in itself has lots of tweakability) and one effect (tons of different delays and the usual stuff like chorus, tremolo, and tape echo stuff). i have to set the parameters for each preset to get the pedals to work. this footboard i have is total overkill and is only as good as you set it up to be. from what i've read people use this board to control a pod because it can make 5 changes with one button press. over my head, but it's a good fit for my amp since the amp in itself has so much built in that i just need to be able to harness it with the press of my foot to have great versatility real time.
